Week 6

The Hidden Treasure & Pearl Of Great Price

Opening Prayer (5 mins)

Pray for a revealing of the beauty and worth of the Kingdom. Ask the Lord to remove familiarity, distraction, and competing affections that dull your hunger for Him, that you would treasure Him above all else. May truth move beyond information and become delight within you.

Opening Questions (10mins)

  • Have you ever discovered something unexpectedly valuable? What made it so meaningful to you?

  • Why do you think people are willing to sacrifice greatly for something they truly treasure?

Discussion Questions (30mins)

  1. What similarities do you notice between the hidden treasure and the pearl of great price?

  2. What do these parables teach us about the value of the Kingdom of God?

  3. What do you think “selling all” represents practically in the Christian life?

  4. What are some modern “treasures” or “pearls” that compete for our hearts today?

  5. How can good things subtly become ultimate things?

Personal Reflection (10 minutes)

  • What currently holds the greatest affection or weight in my life?

  • Is there anything I am struggling to surrender fully to God?

  • Have I lost wonder at the beauty and worth of Jesus?

  • What would it look like for Christ and His Kingdom to become my deepest treasure again?

Pray together:

  • Pray for fresh revelation of the beauty, worth, and supremacy of Christ and His Kingdom.
