What is Alpha?
Alpha is a meal, a short film, and a real conversation about faith and life - with people who are curious about the same big questions like you are. No pressure, no obligations to commit, no fees.
Each film looks at a different area of faith and is designed to facilitate deep and honest conversation.
Whether you have got questions, never really thought about faith, or are just curious to listen, you are welcome at the table exactly as you are. There is nothing you cannot ask, and nothing you have to say if you would rather just listen.

We would love to know if you are coming.
Register your interest so we can prepare enough food and plan the evening well.
Feel free to include your family, and invite a friend to join you too.
We hope to see you on Launch Night!
We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view.
What can I expect?
First there is Food,
Because sitting down to eat together is where real connection starts. No agendas, just a shared meal and a chance to get to know the people at your table.
Then… there is a Film,
A short episode that opens up one of life's big questions – the kind a lot of people wonder about but do not always get to talk through openly. Things like How can we have faith?, How does God guide us? and Who is Jesus?
Followed by a Discussion.
This is honestly the heart of Alpha. Say as much or as little as you want – there is nothing you cannot ask, and no one keeping score. It is not a sales pitch, it is a conversation, and you are free to push back on anything. Hear from others and share your thoughts in an honest, friendly and open conversation.

-
A series of relaxed sessions — a meal, a short film, and honest small-group conversation — where people explore life's big questions together.
-
Anyone looking for a place to connect with others and explore life's big questions together — about meaning, purpose, faith — in an honest, unhurried way. You do not need to be from any particular background or belief to belong at the table; just come as you are.
-
No. Alpha is completely free, including the meal at each session.
-
Not at all. Nobody is cornered, debated, or signed up for anything. Alpha is built for exploring, not converting. Questions and disagreement are both welcome, and you are free to say exactly what you think.
-
No one will hand you the answers or tell you what to think. Alpha is built for exploring together, not for lectures. There is a short talk to get the conversation going, but what happens after (what you take from it, whether you agree or push back) is entirely up to you.
-
Yes! In fact, that is how most people come the first time. Alpha is designed to be brought to, not attended alone. Bring one friend or several; everyone is welcome.
-
There is no all-or-nothing rule. You are welcome to try a single session, join partway through, or miss a week without losing your place. The lowest-pressure way to start is Launch Night, or just the first session. See how it feels, then decide.
-
Across the whole run we typically have around 20-30 guests, but you will not be lost in a crowd. Everyone is split into smaller groups of 4-6 for the table conversations, so there is real space to talk and be heard.
-
Completely. There is no obligation to share. You can take part as much or as little as you like.
