  • We hope to see you there!

SEASONAL LIFEGROUP — SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER

  • If you are not currently plugged into a LifeGroup, or are visiting and wanting to connect more with the church, we are running a new seasonal LifeGroup from September to November.

  • The group will meet on Saturday late afternoons and is open to people from different demographics and life stages.

  • It is an opportunity to get to know the church, build community and grow together over the next 3 months.

  • So, if you have been looking for a place to connect and journey with others, do consider signing up for this seasonal LG as we close out the last few months of the year.

  • You can register via our Events page.

  • More information on these and other events can be found at www.thecity.sg/events, or subscribe to our Telegram channel for the latest news.

GIVING

  • We will now transition to a time of giving.

  • To give, you can open your banking app to scan the QR Code on the screen.

  • Please stand as we pray this liturgy together as a way to posture our hearts in giving and to renew our dependence on God.

         (Read liturgy below).

Father, we come before You with grateful hearts. You have welcomed us in through Your Son and given us every good gift.

All that we have belongs to You, and out of Your abundance we freely give today. Free us from the burden of endless accumulation, and teach us to unclench our fists from what we cannot keep.

Help us to be faithful stewards who give cheerfully — not from obligation, but with open hearts that love You and serve others.

Father, receive these gifts and use them for Your Kingdom and Your name’s sake. AMEN.

  • Please be seated. The QR Code will be on the screen for a while more.

ALPHA NIGHT LAUNCH UPDATE

  • Launch Night is a taster session to see what Alpha is about. Good food, honest conversations.

  • We now have about 30 guests coming.

  • Invite someone who might have questions or wanting to explore faith, purpose and meaning.

  • There are Alpha e-invites, a one-pager info brief and a text message you can personalise all available on our Telegram Channel and the Alpha page on the website.

  • (Pray for people they want to invite and for the Launch Night.)

PASSING THE PEACE

  • At this time, we want to welcome one another as members of God’s family.

  • Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you."

  • When we pass the peace, we are not merely exchanging pleasantries. We are declaring that we belong to Christ and that, in Him, we belong to one another.

  • Let us read these words together:

  • Chair: "The peace of the Lord be with you always."

  • Congregation: "And also with you."

  • Now, let us take a moment to greet someone — perhaps someone new, or someone you have not spoken with in a while — and pass the peace of Christ to one another.

SCRIPTURE READER & SPEAKER

  • (Invite people to take their seats.)

  • We are closing our sermon series on The Model Church: A Journey Through First Thessalonians.

  • Ps. Andre Tan is speaking today but before he comes up, let us welcome the Scripture Reader for the day: Ethan Lee

RESPONSE & MINISTRY
(When Speaker is not closing)

  • (Take over after worship response.)

  • As we remain in this posture of worship, we want to respond to what God is saying to us and for each other.

  • (a) The Ministry Team will also be available on my right to pray with you on specific prayer requests.

  • (b) These are some words of knowledge we received (if any); please come up to the Ministry Team for prayer if you resonate with any of the words.

  • (c) Let us all also look for someone to share and pray with. Let no one leave church without being prayed for.

  • Let me pronounce a blessing over you before we minister to one another.

Option 1:
Numbers 6:24–26

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace. Amen.”

Option 2:
Ephesians 3:20–21

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
according to His power that is at work within us,
to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

Option 3:
2 Corinthians 13:14

And now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the love of God our Father,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
be with you all, today and always. Amen.”
