We will be a Baptism Service on 09 November. Candidates are required to attend baptism classes on 26 October & 02 November.
MISSION TRIPS — ILOILO
Our annual missions trip to Iloilo, Philippines is a much-loved highlight in our church calendar and a wonderful opportunity for individuals and families to serve together on the mission field.
Partnering with Sonshine Center during their annual Christmas outreach, the team will be involved in youth outreach, children’s programmes, community outreach initiatives, and various ministry activities throughout the trip.
This trip has been especially meaningful for many families in our church, creating opportunities to bless communities, encourage the local church, and experience the joy of serving together during the Christmas season.
We invite you to prayerfully consider joining us on an upcoming trip and to register early so you cn get flight tickets at a good rate.
For registration details, please visit the Events page.

Inside The City Lunch is a great opportunity to learn more about our church, meet fellow newcomers, and connect with our team. We will share our heart, vision, and ways you can get involved. There will also be a time for some questions and responses. If you are new, we would love to meet you!
ONE YEAR CHRONOLOGICAL BIBLE READING PLAN
We are calling the church too journey on a one-year chronological reading of the Bible.
Reading Scripture as one unfolding story of God’s redemptive love. By following the historical flow of events, we see how every part of Scripture fits together — leading us to Jesus.
Scan the QR Code to download the reading plan or visit www.thecity.sg for that information.

WONDER WOMEN’S CELEBRATION — 07 MARCH, 2PM
We are calling for the ladies in The City to gather for a special time set aside to celebrate faith and have meaningful connections across generations.
It will be a joyful time to gather, share stories, be encouraged, and strengthen the bonds that unite them as women in Christ.
So ladies, come as you are, bring a friend, and be a part of an afternoon of warmth, laughter, and sisterhood.
COMMUNITY GATHERINGS — Q1 & Q2 GATHERINGS NOW OPEN!
Connection often begins with a simple step, and Community Gatherings are intentional, meaningful spaces for people to get to know each other outside of our usual social circles.
You can be a Host — opening spaces over a shared meal, a common interest, or just a desire to get to know someone new. It does not need to be polished, only a willingness to welcome.
Or you can join a Gathering! It is an easy way to meet others, share life, and experience community beyond Sunday.
Explore how you can be a Host or join a Gathering at www.thecity.sg/gatherings today!
THE CITY PRE-MARITAL COURSE — STARTING MARCH 2026
If you are thinking about marriage or in a serious dating relationship, our Pre-Marital Course is designed to help couples build a strong, Christ-centred foundation for life together.
You will explore communication, expectations, conflict, and commitment in a safe and supportive space.
Whether you are engaged or discerning the next step, this course is an invitation to grow deeper together and prepare well for the journey ahead.
COMMUNITY GATHERINGS — Q1 & Q2 GATHERINGS NOW OPEN!
Connection often begins with a simple step, and Community Gatherings are intentional, meaningful spaces for people to get to know each other outside of our usual social circles.
There are a number of Gatherings happening in Q2 of 2026, so we encourage you to check them out and join a Gathering.
It is an easy way to meet others, share life, and experience community beyond Sunday.
We are now also open for people to Host a Gathering in Q2 & Q3.
You can check out these on the www.thecity.sg/gatherings page.
LENT — 18 FEB TO 04 APRIL
Lent is a significant season in the Christian liturgical calendar, observed over forty days from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday. As we enter this Lenten journey together, here are a few resources to help you engage the season meaningfully:
(a) We have prepared a Devotional Guide for your daily time with God, including Scripture readings, reflections, spiritual practices, and prayer points.
(b) We are calling the church to a weekly Friday fast to keep ourselves in a posture of spiritual hunger and seeking. A Fasting Guide is available to help you participate intentionally.
(c) As we draw near to God, we are also called to turn outward — to live simply, confront selfishness, and care for those in need. There are avenues where you can give and serve.
PASSION WEEK SERVICES —
There will be a Good Friday service on 03 April, 10am at Nexus.
This is a combined service with Life Church, and we are looking forward to hosting them and worshipping together.
More details will be shared in the coming weeks, so do save the date and make plans to join us for this meaningful and special service.
We will also be having Water Baptisms at our Resurrection Sunday service on 05 April.
If you are a follower of Jesus and have not been water baptised, we encourage you to take this step of obedience.
This is a significant milestone in your journey as a disciple so do prayerfully consider to sign up for this round of baptisms.
COMPASSION — 40 KIDS SPONSORED
Last Sunday we saw 40 children sponsored!
We will have a booth outside after the service today where you can continue to explore sponsorship if you have not yet had the opportunity to do so. There are more children from Asia waiting to be sponsored.
If you picked up a child profile last Sunday but have not yet completed your sponsorship, our team will be there to help you complete the process. They will also be available to answer any questions you may have.
You may also scan the QR code to join the community or pick up a brochure at the booth.
LOVE OUR CITY SUNDAY — 06 SEPTEMBER
One part of our passion statement is to do the works of Jesus in our city.
That Is what Love Our City Sunday is all about. Instead of simply gathering for a Sunday service, we will be heading out into our neighbourhoods to serve and bless our community together.
Many of the rhythms of church life happen on a Sunday, but this is a special opportunity to live out our faith beyond these four walls. It is a chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus, showing His love in practical ways to the people around us.
We would love for all of us to be part of it. Sign up through the QR code or the Events page, and let us be a church that not only gathers together, but is also sent into our city to make Jesus known.
ALPHA UPCOMING EVENTS —
As a church, we're about to enter Alpha season, and we are excited for what God is going to do. Over the next few weeks, we will be taking this journey together:
Next Sunday, Tim will be preaching and sharing the heart behind Alpha and why creating space for honest conversations about faith matters.
Then, on 2 August, we will have Alpha Sunday, where everyone will get to experience what an Alpha session is like.
Finally, from 16 September through November, Alpha will officially begin.
As we head into this season, we want to invite everyone to begin praying. Ask the Lord to place someone on your heart — a friend, colleague, neighbour, or family member — who might be open to exploring the Christian faith. Pray for opportunities to have meaningful conversations, and for the courage and sensitivity to extend an invitation when the time is right.
Our hope is that Alpha will not just be a programme we run, but a season where, together as a church, we intentionally create space for people to encounter Jesus. So let us begin praying now and trust God for what He wants to do in the lives of those around us.
CONVRSATIONS ABOUT SEXUALITY — 29 AUGUST
This is a practical workshop for parents, equipping you to navigate conversations about puberty, sexuality, and pornography with your children from a biblical and age-appropriate perspective.
Led by Dr. Cheah Fung Fong, this session is suitable for parents of young children through to teenagers, and you are welcome to invite friends who may benefit as well.
Please register by today!
ALPHA LAUNCH NIGHT — 02 SEPTEMBER
The Alpha Launch Night is specially designed for your family and friends who might be seeking to explore faith and meaning.
This is a taster session to find out what Alpha is about, meet others who have questions too, and to have honest conversations with no pressure to sign up for the Alpha sessions afterwards.
Visit the Alpha page to download the Alpha e-invites or to register for your friends.
LOVE OUR CITY SUNDAY — 06 SEPTEMBER
Love Our City is an opportunity to take church beyond the four walls.
There will be no Sunday service at Nexus, instead, we will be heading into our neighbourhoods to serve and bless our city in practical ways.
With a range of serving opportunities, all of which are family-friendly, there is a place for everyone to get involved.
Feel free to invite family and friends to come along. Let us be a church that not only gathers, but is also sent to make Jesus known.
We especially want to call your attention to the NTUC Health Nursing Home outreach to help with cleaning and housekeeping. We need more volunteers there. So, if you have yet to sign up, please consider lending your support to that.
