The Life Of A Disciple

Living Out The Beatitudes

Transformation Creates Testimony

For LifeGroup Discussion

Main Theme:
Evangelism begins with what God has done in us. A transformed life naturally becomes a testimony and an invitation

Icebreaker:
Everyone brings (or picks in the moment) an object that represents change in their life (e.g., journal, wedding ring, running shoes, Bible app, etc.). Share in 60 seconds why it represents transformation.

Group Activity:
Build Your 90-Second Testimony (Real-Time Workshop).

  1. Divide into pairs.

  2. Use this simple testimony template:

    • Before: What life was like

    • Jesus moments: What God did

    • After: What changed

  3. Everyone writes their testimony in 90 seconds.

  4. Practice saying it naturally — not churchy.

Prayer & Response:

  • Thank God for how He has changed you.

  • Ask for boldness to share one honest part of your story this week.

  • Pray for specific names of people God is already drawing.

Personal Reflection & Application:

  • Ask yourself — what has the gospel changed in me? What aspects of my life reflect Jesus’ power to transform?

  • Rehearse your story of transformation. Look for opportunities this week to let your transformed life speak — through forgiveness, humility, or mercy.

  • Challenge yourself to do one of these:

    • Post one sentence online about something God has done.

    • Share one part of your testimony in a natural conversation.

    • Send a message of encouragement that includes how God helped you.

    • Start a conversation with: “Can I share something that changed my life?”
